For twenty years the route was the same. Somebody had a question, they typed it into a search box, and they got a page of links. If your site was on that page, some of them arrived.
That is no longer how most questions get answered. In 2026 a growing share of people ask an AI assistant instead. They read the answer it gives them and never see a list of links at all.
Here is the part that matters for you. Those answers are assembled from sites like yours. Your article can inform the answer, and the reader can act on it, without ever knowing your name.
You get the work and somebody else gets the customer.
Say you came out of a long career and started something of your own. You have probably been told to build traffic. Learn the platform, do the optimisation, get found.
That advice made sense when being found meant being visible. It makes less sense when being found means being quoted.
I hear the same thing from people in their fifties who are starting again. Everyone else seems to know something I don’t. And there is a real fear underneath it, that the technical ground keeps shifting and they will never catch up.
The honest answer is that they are right about the ground shifting. They are wrong about what to do next.
Whatever happens to search, one thing stays where it is. If somebody has given you their email address, they can reach you and you can reach them. No platform sits in the middle deciding whether that happens.
A list is not a traffic source. It is the absence of one.
A list is not a traffic source. It is the absence of one.
That distinction is worth sitting with, because it explains why the businesses that come through every shift intact are so rarely the clever ones. They are the ones with a direct line.
I have written about this from a few angles in other articles I have shared recently, because it keeps proving itself.
A man called Ray bought a short guide I wrote about organising a small warehouse. I did not hear from him at the time.
A year and a half later he emailed to say he had started something of his own off the back of it. I had forgotten who he was.
Individual outcomes vary and depend on many factors.
What stayed with me was not the outcome. It was that the effect stayed invisible for eighteen months. It only reached me because he had my email address and I had his.
Through a search engine that connection never happens. Through an AI answer it certainly never happens. He reads, he acts, and you never know.
It helps to picture it plainly.
Somebody asks how to price a first product. An assistant reads a few dozen articles, yours among them. It writes one short answer drawing on all of them. The reader gets what they needed in fifteen seconds.
They did not visit your site. They did not see who wrote it. They have no way to come back for the next thing. As far as they are concerned there is no next thing, and no you.
Your article did its job. It just did it for somebody else’s relationship instead of yours.
This is not a complaint about the technology, and there is no version of this where writing worse articles helps. The material still has to be good enough to be worth drawing on. What changes is what you do at the end of it.
Most people hear all this and think the same thing. I am not technical.
I hear it constantly, and it is rarely the real problem. What people mean is that they once watched somebody demonstrate a piece of software and felt behind.
Nothing here needs software. An email address collected on a page you already have. A note of who asked for what. One message a week in a normal voice. People ran businesses this way for decades before any of the tools existed.
The technical part is the bit somebody else can do for you. The part nobody can do for you is knowing what your readers are stuck on. That comes from twenty years of watching them get stuck.
There is a reason later starters do well at this once they get going.
If you spent two decades in one industry, you know things that cannot be researched. Which corners get cut and why. What the person doing that job worries about at four in the morning. Which official advice everyone ignores because it does not survive contact with a real week.
An assistant can summarise the published position on almost anything. It cannot tell somebody what the job is really like. Nobody wrote that part down.
You did not write it down either. But you can, and you are one of very few people who could.
Nothing technical, and nothing that takes a weekend.
Look at whatever you have already published or written. Pick the one piece that answers a real question your readers have. At the end of it, offer them something small and specific that goes further, in exchange for an email address.
Not a newsletter. Nobody wants a newsletter. Something that finishes the job the article started.
Then write to the people who take it. Once a week, plainly, as though writing to one person. That is the whole method and it has survived every change to search so far.
Getting the first few addresses is the part you can do on your own this week. Turning that into something steady, where writing to your list is a habit rather than an event, is where most people stall.
Nick James put together a guide on exactly that, called Lazy Way to Email Riches. It is aimed at people who would rather write one honest email a week than manage six platforms. That describes most people I talk to.
There is more information on the page if you want it.
Right, get on with it.

Everyone’s out here searching for “the one AI tool” that will magically make them a millionaire. Hate to break it to you, but there’s no single tool that spits out money like a broken ATM.
The real secret? Combos. Like peanut butter + jelly. Netflix + snacks. Espresso + deadlines. The right AI tool stack amplifies your skills, multiplies your output, and can (if you play it smart) add commas to your bank account.
Take this quiz to find out your million-dollar AI combo — and how you’ll actually use it to scale.
A. Convince. Convert. Cash.
B. Make it pretty.
C. Automate. Delegate. Celebrate.
D. Data never lies.
A. Watching emails write themselves while you sip coffee.
B. Pumping out designs that make influencers cry into their ring lights.
C. Letting your funnel run itself while you nap like a cat in warm laundry.
D. Knowing exactly which ads are trash before wasting a dime.
A. Blank page paralysis.
B. Wishing you had a design team (or at least opposable thumbs in Photoshop).
C. Copy-pasting the same junk 47 times.
D. Spending money blindfolded because you don’t know what’s working.
A. A sales page that converts at 40%. FORTY PERCENT!!!
B. A TikTok went viral while you slept through your alarm (again).
C. A funnel that made $5K while you were frolicking on the beach.
D. Predicting the winning ad campaign like you’re the Marketing Nostradamus.
A. The Persuader – Words are your weapon; you could sell Wi-Fi to a caveman.
B. The Showstopper – Your visuals stop the scroll harder than a pothole in spring.
C. The Automation Addict – Bots do the work while you pretend fantasy football is market research.
D. The Data Whisperer – You read numbers like tea leaves — except yours actually make money.
Results
Mostly A’s: The Persuader’s Stack (ChatGPT + Jasper + Copy Automation)
You’re here to make words pay rent. Your stack is built for cranking out landing pages, sales funnels, emails, and ads that don’t just speak — they sell.
How you’ll make your million:
Your unfair advantage: You never stare at a blinking cursor — you weaponize it.
Mostly B’s: The Showstopper’s Stack (MidJourney + Canva AI + Runway)
You’re the drama. The scroll-stopper. The marketer who knows a single image can do what 1,000 words can’t (sorry, A’s).
How you’ll make your million:
Your unfair advantage: You can make a $27 eBook look like a $2,700 course with nothing but pixels.
Mostly C’s: The Automation Addict’s Stack (Zapier + Make + AI Assistants)
You don’t dream of labor, you dream of delegation. If a task can be repeated, you’ll set a bot to do it while you “focus on strategy” (aka scroll Twitter).
How you’ll make your million:
Your unfair advantage: You scale without adding people (or headaches).
Mostly D’s: The Data Whisperer’s Stack (Perplexity + ChatGPT Code Interpreter + AI Analytics)
You’re cold, calculated, and ruthless… in the best way. While everyone else is “hoping for the best,” you’re spotting patterns and doubling down before the trend even starts.
How you’ll make your million:
Your unfair advantage: You don’t guess — you print money with precision.
Bonus Twist:
If you tied between categories, congrats. You’re building the Frankenstack.
ChatGPT writes, MidJourney designs, Zapier automates, and Perplexity tells you what’s working. Basically, you’ve got a digital army. Is it cheating? Maybe. But millionaires don’t care.
Want to build high-converting funnels without reinventing the wheel? Here’s how to ethically use AI to reverse-engineer, improve, and scale marketing funnels for better conversions.
Building a marketing funnel from scratch is like cooking without a recipe; it’s possible, but why make it harder than it needs to be?
The smarter way to build a marketing funnel is to study what already works and use AI to improve, personalize, and scale it.
The key is reverse engineering – not stealing.
Copying a funnel outright is unethical and short-sighted and no one smart enough to read this newsletter is going to be dumb enough to do it, right?
(In short, NO STEALING!)
Okay, mini-rant over…
What is ethical is analyzing, deconstructing, and refining what already exists, because that’s just smart business.
Not convinced? Imagine building a bridge – would you start blindly and hope it holds, or study proven designs and past failures to ensure success? The same logic applies to marketing funnels.
You can ethically use AI-powered tools to:
Let’s break it down…
The Anatomy of a Winning Funnel
Before we start tweaking and improving, we need to understand what makes a funnel work.
A high-converting marketing funnel typically includes:
Now, let’s find the best funnels to learn from.
Where to Find Funnels to Swipe (Without Guessing)
Forget about blindly looking at your competitors’ sites. Instead, use data-driven ways to find the best-performing funnels.
Best Tools for Funnel Research
Once you’ve found a high-performing funnel, it’s time to break it down.
How to Ethically Swipe Funnels Without Copying
Important: Stealing = bad.
Studying & improving = smart.
The ethical approach is to reverse-engineer what makes a funnel work without cloning it.
Example: Instead of copy-pasting a competitor’s landing page, use AI to analyze it and generate unique, improved content (next step).
Funnel Mapping with AI – Creating Your Blueprint
Once you’ve studied a successful funnel, map it out using AI-powered tools.
Best AI Tools for Funnel Mapping
Pro Tip: Once your funnel is mapped out, feed it into AI tools like ChatGPT to get suggestions on improvements.
Example Prompt: “Analyze this funnel and suggest three ways to increase conversions at each step.”
Rewriting Landing Pages with AI for Maximum Conversions
Your landing page is where first impressions happen. AI can rewrite and optimize it for better conversions.
Best AI Tools for Landing Pages
Example Prompt: “Rewrite this landing page copy to make it more engaging, persuasive, and conversion-focused. Add a stronger CTA.”
AI won’t replace human creativity, but it will speed up the writing and optimize messaging. Check over and change the copy to suit your needs, better engage with your target audience, add personality and make it yours.
AI-Enhanced Email Sequences – Automating Profits
Emails drive major revenue in most funnels. AI can help write, personalize, and automate them.
AI Tools for Email Automation
Example Prompt: “Create a 5-email sequence for a [product type] that nurtures leads and converts them into buyers. Make it engaging and persuasive.”
Be sure to check the work over carefully, fact check, and change it to suit your personality or your company’s public persona. AI written copy is a starting point, not the finished product.
AI-Assisted Sales Pages & Offers
Want a sales page that converts like crazy? AI can analyze, rewrite, and A/B test variations to improve results.
Best AI Sales Page Tools
AI doesn’t just write sales pages – it analyzes what works and improves it.
AI-Powered Funnel Analytics – Spot & Fix Weak Points
Funnels break all the time. AI can track, analyze, and optimize performance automatically.
Best AI Funnel Analytics Tools
Example Prompt: “Analyze my funnel data and suggest optimizations to increase conversion rates at each step.”
AI will find leaks in your funnel before they drain your profits.
AI Traffic & Ads for Automated Funnel Growth
What good is a funnel if no one sees it? AI can optimize ad campaigns and automate traffic generation.
AI Ad Optimization Tools
AI reduces wasted ad spend and scales winning campaigns automatically.
Scaling & Replicating Your AI Funnels for Maximum Revenue
Once you’ve optimized one funnel, AI helps scale it across different niches and audiences.
Final Thoughts: AI = Smarter Funnels, Faster Growth
AI isn’t just about saving time, it’s your virtual assistant for building smarter, high-converting funnels that practically run themselves.
Instead of reinventing the wheel, why not learn from what already works? AI helps fine-tune your content, emails, and sales pages so they hit the mark every time.
Plus, with AI-driven analytics and automated ad strategies, your funnel keeps evolving and adapting – no guesswork needed.
The future of marketing? As crazy as this sounds, it’s funnels that improve themselves.
If you’ve been waiting to build your own funnel because the task seemed too daunting, then now is the time to get started.
]]>Right now, most marketers are flinging content like spaghetti at a wall, hoping something sticks. But the smart ones? They’re using AI to read minds (well, close enough) and craft freakishly accurate, ultra-personalized experiences that make people say, “Whoa, how did they know?”
This isn’t hype. It’s backed by hard numbers:
Translation? AI + personalization = a sales machine on steroids.
This isn’t just “nice to have” anymore—it’s a non-negotiable if you want your business to survive and thrive. And the best part? You don’t need a team of data scientists or a Silicon Valley budget to get started.
So how does a new marketer (like you) actually pull this off?
Glad you asked.
Case Study #1: How a One-Person Course Creator Used AI to Triple Her Sales
Niche: Productivity & Time Management
Tools Used: ChatGPT, ConvertKit, Deadline Funnel
Sara was selling a $47 mini-course on daily planning. She had a basic email funnel, but her conversions were flat.
Here’s what changed everything:
She started using ChatGPT to segment her audience based on quiz responses—Are they overwhelmed moms? Burnt-out freelancers? ADHD professionals?
Then, using AI-assisted emails and conditional logic in ConvertKit, she personalized her sales sequence to speak directly to each group’s pain points.
Result?
Lesson: Personalization doesn’t mean creating 100 different funnels. A few tailored messages can make your offer feel like a perfect fit.
Case Study #2: The Affiliate Marketer Who Doubled Conversions with a Chatbot
Niche: Fitness Equipment Reviews
Tools Used: Tidio AI, WordPress
Derrick ran a niche blog reviewing rowing machines. His traffic was okay, but affiliate sales were unpredictable.
He added a simple AI chatbot that asked, “What’s your fitness goal?” and then guided users to the best gear for their needs. Some users got links to beginner machines, others got pro-level equipment.
This small tweak:
Lesson: Even small personalization touches—like a chatbot that helps visitors choose—can skyrocket conversions.
How to Get Started with AI + Personalization (Even If You’re Brand New)
You don’t need to be a coder, or even “techy.” Start here:

Here’s a Complete Example of an AI-Personalized Funnel…
…that integrates social media, email, and a simple landing page — ideal for digital products, affiliate marketing, or content creators.
Scenario: You’re selling a $27 mini-course called “Fast Focus: Beat Distraction in 5 Days”, designed for people who feel overwhelmed, procrastinate, or struggle to stay on task.
You want to personalize the funnel using AI and segment your audience into 3 buckets:
Overview of the Funnel
Let’s break it down.
Step 1: AI-Written Social Media Hook (Instagram, TikTok, Threads)
Instagram Post (Hook + CTA):
“If your brain feels like a browser with 37 open tabs… this is for you.”
I created a fast, 5-day distraction detox that helps you refocus — even if you’ve got kids screaming, clients calling, or a creative brain that never slows down.
Not sure where to start? Take the quick quiz to see how your distractions show up (and how to shut them down).
[Take the Distraction Type Quiz]
This changes everything when you know your brain’s focus style.
Written by ChatGPT with slight edits for voice and tone. You could easily batch 10+ variations for different reels, posts, and stories.
Step 2: Quiz Funnel Landing Page
Headline:
“What’s Your Distraction Type?”
Discover your biggest productivity blocks (and how to beat them fast).
3 Result Types (Personalized):
Quiz Tool: Use Interact or ScoreApp — both integrate with email tools and tagging.
Opt-In Gate:
After quiz results, require email to “see full breakdown + get your 5-day fix.”
Step 3: AI-Written Personalized Email Sequence
Each audience segment receives a slightly customized version of a 3-email sequence written by AI with tailored hooks and pain points. Here’s one version as an example:
Email 1 – For “Creative Chaos Wizard”
Subject Line: Your brain isn’t broken — it’s brilliant (and here’s your fix)
Body:
Hey [First Name],
You scored as a Creative Chaos Wizard — meaning your ideas are
but your focus? Not so much.
That’s not a flaw. That’s a superpower… once you know how to work with it.
Over the next 5 days, I’m going to show you how to channel your wild creativity into deep focus bursts — without fighting your brain.
Ready to turn chaos into clarity?
Start here → [Day 1 Focus Tip]
The emails are AI-personalized with language and metaphors specific to the result. You write one base version and prompt ChatGPT to adapt tone, examples, and metaphors to match each personality.
Step 4: Personalized Sales Page (Optional, But Powerful)
Using a tool like RightMessage or even just smart copy blocks, show different headlines and testimonials based on user segment.
Busy Parent Headline:
“Finally… Focus Strategies That Work Even When Your Kids Are Climbing the Walls”
Entrepreneur Headline:
“Unlock 90 Minutes of Deep Focus a Day — Without Burning Out”
Neurodivergent Headline:
“This Isn’t Another Productivity Course. It’s Built for Brains Like Yours.”
Tools Needed (All Beginner-Friendly):
| Tool | Purpose | Notes |
| ChatGPT | Write quiz, emails, headlines | Prompt per segment |
| Interact | Quiz + segmentation | Free trial available |
| ConvertKit | Tagging + email automation | Free up to 1,000 subscribers |
| Canva | Social media visuals | Templates for quiz promo posts |
| RightMessage | Optional: Dynamic content on pages | If you want deeper personalization |
| Tally/Typeform | Simple quiz if you don’t need automation | Quick & easy for MVP testing |
Bonus AI Prompt to Personalize Content by Segment:
“Rewrite this email to speak directly to [busy parents / ADHD creatives / overwhelmed entrepreneurs]. Use language, metaphors, and pain points that resonate with that audience. Keep it short, empathetic, and action-driven.”
Final Thoughts on This Example
This funnel isn’t just clever – it’s human.
And that’s the whole point of using AI for personalization: not to automate spam, but to scale empathy.
You’re not just selling a product. You’re saying:
“I see you. I get you. And I built this for you.”
That kind of experience?
It builds trust. It drives sales. And it makes your brand unforgettable.
Bottom Line: Your Customers Don’t Want “Generic”
We’re living in the age of Netflix recommendations, Spotify algorithms, and curated TikTok feeds. People expect personalization now—it’s not a luxury, it’s the baseline.
The good news? You’re not behind. With free tools and a little creativity, you can start using AI to personalize your marketing this week.
Remember: You’re not selling a product. You’re delivering the feeling of “This was made for me.”
That’s what gets clicks. That’s what gets sales.
And that’s what makes your business unforgettable.
